Step into the enchanting world of knights, dragons, and castle from the 9th to 17th of March 2024 as Marina Square’s annual Balloon Exhibition is back this March school holidays with a display of fascinating balloon creations.
Visitors can channel their inner hero and play out their own fairytale at Marina Square’s 6,500-square-foot central atrium, where a magnificent castle, galloping knights, and breathtaking dragons await. This enchanting display, crafted by 60 talented balloon artists from 9 countries, features approximately 250,000 balloons.
Journey Through the Balloon Kingdom to Discover Enchanted Tales
The central atrium of Marina Square is encircled by grand castle walls, where open portcullises beckon visitors into a magical realm. This enchanting structure, crafted entirely from balloons, invites guests to wander into a world where dreams and imagination take flight.
At the heart of the spectacle stands a breathtaking castle, towering 7.2 meters high and spanning 16 meters wide. This magnificent balloon structure invites visitors to step inside and embark on a royal journey. Walking through the castle on a red carpet, guests are transported to a realm of wonder, where they can explore the throne room, adorned with balloon portraits, gold chests, swords and armour. Here, a majestic throne awaits, offering the perfect backdrop for photo opportunities.
Amidst the enchantment, an adorable prince stands alongside his 5-meter-tall dragon, while a beautiful princess awaits beside her carriage and unicorns. Visitors can raise their swords in triumph as they come face to face with a gallant knight on horseback, with castle guards standing watch at the entrance.
Keep those cameras ready as there will be photo spots galore. Visitors are invited to snap pictures while dressed up as chivalrous knights, beautiful princesses, or charming princes, adding to the magical atmosphere surrounding the castle.
A Royal Masquerade
Available Daily: 12pm - 8pm
Children are invited to enter the realms of castle and dragons dressing as knight, prince and princess as they adorn costumes to take memorable photos. Visitors simply need to pay $5 to rent a costume, subject to costume size and availability, on a first-come-first-served basis.
Balloon Workshops
Available on 9, 10, 16, and 17 March: 4.30pm (Pre-registration required, limited slots per session)
Parents are invited to learn how to make adorable balloon creations with their child in a 1.5-hour long Balloon Workshop featuring a different theme each day! Sign up at the Customer Service Counter to participate for $20 per parent and child team. Each team will also be given a voucher to redeem a cookie worth $5.80 from Nasty Cookie.
