City Square Mall National Day Celebration From 26 Jul

As National Day approaches, City Square Mall is celebrating Singapore's 59th birthday with a series of events, including a Green Market, National Day Food Fair, Durian Buffet, and more, from July 26 to August 25, 2024.

Green Market

Date: 26 July to 4 August 2024

Time: 11am to 10pm

Venue: Basement 1 Fountain Square

Explore the Green Market at Basement 1 Fountain Square, where you'll discover a delightful array of vendors. Savour the rich flavours of house-roasted coffee beans from D-No Coffee and Tea, and admire the exquisite handmade crochet flower bouquets from Crochet Sg. Don't miss the opportunity to shop at Saleable, a Thailand-based clothing brand offering stylish apparel made from sustainable materials.

Be sure to also stop by Nature’s Field and Nakanishi Cakes to satisfy your snack cravings. Nature’s Field promotes healthy snacking with a variety of all-natural and preservative-free flavoured nuts, in various flavours such as Cacao, Honey and Abalone. The first 100 shoppers with any receipt from the mall can redeem a free pack of Nature's Field Nut Mixes (150g), at the Nature's Field booth on 27 July.

Meanwhile, Nakanishi Cakes, whose owner hails from Chiba, Japan, will be offering freshly baked goods made only using natural ingredients with no preservatives. Their signature Japanese Banana Cake is a crowd-favourite, loved for its moist and soft texture.

Shoppers can shop for a range of snacks such as cereals, instant noodles and drinks from MoNo Foods at the Green Market. MoNo Foods is an organisation that advocates for food waste reduction and its mission is to divert food waste away from waste streams and redistribute them back to the community. They will be retailing food items that are nearing expiration, to educate shoppers on the importance of sustainable consumption practices.

National Day Food Fair

From 8 to 11 August 2024, indulge in a gastronomic adventure at City Square Mall’s National Day Food Fair, featuring a diverse selection of the finest flavours from Singapore and beyond. Whether you’re on the hunt for well-loved local favourites, or new and trendy international treats, you will be sure to find something to satisfy every craving!

One of the tenants of City Square Mall, Lai Lai Taiwan Casual Dining, will be bringing authentic Taiwanese flavours to shoppers. Known for its comforting cuisine, it offers a variety of dishes for every palate. Enjoy their traditional Taiwanese mee sua filled with oysters and topped with bonito flakes, braised pork rice and their crispy, savoury Taiwanese popcorn chicken – just to name a few.

White Rabbit by Hao Food SG, known for its beloved creamy milk candy, is another standout at the food fair. It will be offering an array of sweets, ice cream, and adorable merchandise of their rabbit mascot. The first 80 shoppers with any receipt from the mall, will be able to fill a carrot pouch from City Square Mall with as many White Rabbit sweets as they can.

Head on over to Ji Xiang Ang Ku Kueh that offers a taste of tradition and culinary heritage. Its handmade ang ku kueh are perfectly soft and chewy, filled with traditional flavours such as Sweet Bean and Peanut, as well as modern flavours like Durian and Pistachio.

To quench your thirst while you embark on a gastronomic adventure, stop by Pacto by Parchmen, known for its specialty teas and coffees. It offers a range of oriental tea flavours such as Tie Guan Yin, Enshi Jade Dew and Japanese Matcha. The coffees undergo a special fermentation method, producing clear strawberry, banana and rose notes in the hand brew.

Durian Party Under The Stars

Date: 8 to 11 August 2024

Time: 6pm to 10pm

Venue: Level 1 City Green Park

Ms Durian will be offering durian varieties such as Mao Shan Wang, D24 and Red Prawn.

City Square Mall invites all durian enthusiasts to join them from 8 to 11 August 2024, for an unforgettable Durian Party Under The Stars and enjoy an all-you-can-eat durian buffet (60 minutes). Amidst cosy tents adorned with fairy lights, shoppers can savour a variety of durian varieties, such as Mao Shan Wang, D24 and Red Prawn. On top of that, shoppers can try two new items that Ms Durian will be launching in celebration of National Day, they are — Ugly Durian Egg Tart and Mao Shan Wang Durian Kaya Craquelin.

Additionally, shoppers can indulge in snacks such as Ms Durian’s signature Mao Shan Wang Ice Cream to beat the heat and kacang puteh to pay homage to Singapore’s heritage of local snacks. To end off the feast, refreshing coconut water and mineral bottled water will be given, providing the perfect balance to the durian’s rich and creamy flavours.

Adult tickets are priced at $68, while tickets for children aged between 7 and 11 years old are priced at $28. Entry is free for children below 7 years old, with 2 paying adults.
