LifeSG Credits 2025: Families With Three Or More Children To Receive S$1,000 Annually

LifeSG Credits - S$1,000 Support for Families with Three or More Young Children

From 2025, families in Singapore with three or more children aged one to six will start receiving S$1,000 in LifeSG credits each year. The credits will be given to each third and subsequent child annually until the year they turn six, offering families valuable financial support for essential expenses.

Eligibility is determined as of August 1, 2025. For example, a child aged four on that date will still receive three annual payouts, continuing until they turn six in 2027. The first disbursement begins on September 10, 2025, for families with eligible children born between January 1, 2019, and December 31, 2024. Following this, credits will be disbursed every April, starting in 2026.

The scheme also extends to widowed or divorced parents, provided they have three or more eligible children related to them through birth, adoption, or step-relations.

Accessing and Using the Credits

The credits will be distributed automatically into the LifeSG app, requiring no application from parents. The authorised parent managing the child’s Child Development Account (CDA) will be able to access the funds. Parents will also receive an official SMS notification from “gov.sg” once the credits are available.

These credits can be used both online and in-store for essential household needs, including groceries, utilities, transport, and pharmacy items. All merchants that accept PayNow UEN QR and NETS QR payments will also accept LifeSG credits, making them widely usable across Singapore.
