SG61 Events, New Launches, and Promotions to Look Forward To

Singapore's birthday is just around the corner, and there's no better time to rediscover everything we love about the Little Red Dot. To help inspire your National Day coverage, we’ve rounded up a selection of ideas spanning from nostalgic family experiences, food-led celebrations and homegrown brands that capture the spirit of SG61.

Celebrate Singapore Through Food

Rediscover Singapore's Beloved Tea-Time Tradition with Bibik Violet

Bibik Violet — the beloved all-day Peranakan cafe, bakery and emporium from the Violet Oon Group — has just opened its second outlet at Great World!

Adding to the celebrations are three limited-time only durian creations, available exclusively until 31 August 2026.

  • Durian Chendol - a refreshing twist on the local favourite topped with rich durian.
  • Sago Gula Melaka with Durian - silky sago pearls paired with aromatic Gula Melaka and Mao Shan Wang durian pengat,
  • Pulut Tai Tai with Durian Kaya - fragrant blue pea glutinous rice served with luscious durian kaya and durian pengat.
For those who prefer to keep things classic, Bibik Violet’s signature Chendol will remain a permanent menu item, available exclusively at Great World’s outlet.

What’s more, guests can enjoy kopi or teh for just $1 with any purchase from 3pm to 5pm daily until 31 August 2026. Best paired with Bibik Violet’s handmade kueh and freshly baked cakes, the promotion pays tribute to Singapore’s enduring tea time culture, encouraging diners to savour familiar local flavours.

Feast on local flavours at City Square Mall

From 24 July to 23 August, City Square Mall celebrates Singapore's favourite pastime with a month-long programme of food experiences, community activities and local businesses.

Durian lovers can look forward to a Mao Shan Wang Durian Party, presented in collaboration with Ms Durian. Across selected sessions from 7 to 10 August, guests can enjoy a 60-minute feast featuring premium Mao Shan Wang and seasonal durian varieties, paired with handcrafted durian desserts and tropical accompaniments. It is an ideal gathering for families, friends and durian lovers looking to celebrate SG61 together.

The excitement doesn't stop at the buffet! Enter the free 'Lunch on CSM' social media contest, where four lucky winners will score a $200 lunch treat. While you're here, check out the Local Entrepreneur Market and the 'Mad About Singapore' photography exhibition. Don't miss the Eco Mama Photography Adventure on 29 August either—a fun, guided challenge where you'll learn photography basics while exploring the mall's eco-friendly side! Plus, bring your own bottle to get selected drinks for just $1, or carry City Square Mall’s floral-themed flask to claim a complimentary gift.

Relive Singapore’s Favourite Memories Through Fun, Interactive Campaigns

Exclusive collectibles and hands-on workshops at NEX

NEX is turning everyday shopping into a celebration of Singapore identity. Inspired by the people, places and flavours that generations have grown up with, this year's National Day campaign blends interactive experiences with exclusive collectibles.

With pickleball fast becoming one of Singapore's favourite social sports, shoppers can redeem one of six limited-edition pickleball paddles featuring colourful Peranakan-inspired artwork inspired by beloved local icons—from the Dragon Playground and orchids to otters, durians, ang ku kueh and ice gem biscuits—with a minimum spend of $150 at participating stores. A new design will be released each week throughout the campaign.

From 31 July to 10 August, shoppers who spend at least $30 can also personalise a bag strap with three Singapore-inspired iron-on badges. Beyond the campaign, visitors can also discover beloved homegrown names within the mall including Graffiti Cafe, Oriental Kopi, Thye Moh Chan, Chin Mee Chin, The Cheongsam Shoppe and Hey Beauty.

Take a trip down memory lane at Pasir Ris Mall

From 24 July to 20 August, Pasir Ris Mall transforms into a nostalgic playground where families can relive the simple joys of the past. Retro Fun Fest features classic carnival games, traditional crafts, workshops and family-friendly activities, while the SG61 Fun Zone adds live performances, balloon sculpting and a Best Dressed Contest.

Visitors can also redeem an exclusive Pasir Ris Mall laptop sleeve with qualifying spend and enjoy specially curated Makan Deals throughout the campaign.
