Families looking for Halloween activities in Singapore this October can look forward to a month-long celebration at Downtown East (DE), where they stand a chance to win a family staycation at D’Resort, Wild Wild Wet passes, and NTUC Club cash vouchers.
In partnership with BYKidO – a family-focused platform dedicated to helping parents discover events and experiences for family fun – DE will present the Great Pumpkin Trail from Oct 3 to 31, featuring free weekend activities from Halloween-themed challenges, family-friendly activities, trick-or-treat experiences and exclusive rewards for children. Designed for families with young kids, the experience culminates in a Grand Halloween Finale on Oct 31, where families can go trick-or-treating across the lifestyle destination and take part in the Best Dressed Costume Competition to win the exciting prizes!
Follow the Pumpkins, Find the Fun
Every weekend throughout Oct is about to become more exciting at DE with the Great Pumpkin Trail! Little adventurers under 12 and their families can collect a trail card from the DE E!Avenue Information Counter and follow the pumpkin markers placed outside each participating store, with Halloween magic waiting around every corner. At each stop, kids can take on a simple Halloween-themed activity from educational games and arts & crafts to storytelling sessions and more, to receive a stamp on their trail card.
The challenges offer something different at every stop, bringing together play, learning, creativity and plenty of Halloween fun across DE:
- Achievers Arts (E!Hub #03-102): Get creative on a colouring card with a spooky twist
- EduFirst Learning Centre (E!Hub #03-108): Tackle a Halloween-themed Math challenge
- Edventure Learning Academy (E!Avenue #02-344): Settle in for a family-friendly Halloween storytelling session
- INMERS (E!Hub #03-109): Conquer the ‘Floor Is Lava’ game in approximately 2 to 3 minutes with at least 50 points achieved
- Tayo Station (E!Hub #03-112): ‘Feed’ the hungry pumpkin with sweet treats
- Upwall Climbing (E!Hub #01-105): Spot the pumpkins on the climbing wall or solve a crossword puzzle as a family
There’s a sweet reward at the end: children who collect at least three stamps will be entitled to redeem an exclusive Trick-or-Treat Pumpkin Bucket anytime between Oct 3 and Oct 31 – ready to be filled with classic sweet treats like candies and even exclusive vouchers from selected stores around DE.
Grand Halloween Finale at Downtown East on 31 October
The fun doesn’t stop when families complete the stamp card trail. From Oct 3 to Oct 31, participants can bring their completed trail cards to the level 2 E!Avenue Information Counter to exchange it for their adorable orange pumpkin bucket.
Then, go on a trick-or-treat adventure on Saturday, Oct 31, with participating outlets giving out goodies and special discount vouchers. Families can explore the festivities at their own pace, or register for a free guided Halloween Trick-or-Treat Trail here (limited slots available; two 30-min sessions at 5pm and 7pm). Participating brands include Bored Tacos (E!Avenue #02-323), EduFirst Learning Centre (E!Hub #03-108), Edventure Learning Academy (E!Avenue #02-344), Eminami (E!Hub #04-101), INMERS (E!Hub #03-109), MIXUE (E!Hub #02-101) and Tayo Station (E!Hub #03-112). The little ones can look forward to snagging delectable caramel popcorn, soft serve ice cream, candies, and even enrichment experience vouchers and more.
Along the guided group trail, the kids can look forward to coveted treats and engaging Halloween activities prepared exclusively for the Grand Finale, before the adventure wraps up with a group photo to capture the Halloween memories.
Familes are encouraged to join us in their favourite Halloween costumes with exciting prizes up for grabs for the best dressed! From superheroes and fairytale characters to friendly little monsters – families can look forward to a costume competition celebrating creativity, imagination and the festive spirit.
Familes will stand a chance to walk away with up to $500 worth of NTUC Club cash vouchers to Eat, Play, and Shop further at DE! Winners will be announced after the event on DE and BYKidO’s social media channels.
The Halloween spirit extends to the participating stores, adding a little friendly competition to the month-long celebrations as brands vie to be the Best Decorated Store, where the standout Halloween display will score $500 worth of cash vouchers.
